Brian-911 210
My bitch has come into season she's 3 and half now and always said I'll have pup out of her she does the job perfect for me, a friend of mine wants one too so I thought I'll breed her now before I have her spayed. Now I've never bred a dog before I've been looking up on it but I think some of the stuff I've read up on it, but would like some info off you guys about it all whelping what to feed mother and pups ect.. Also how many pups have you had before for first litter I'm hoping for just two healthy pups ideally. She's a Patterdale. Cheers
asanley 1,009
As long as the bitch is wormed up to date and in good condition , carry on as normal through the pregnancy ,with the obvious adjustment to exercise as she progresses , after she has whelped I woujd up her food to as much as she wants ,worm the pups at 2/3 weeks and every 2 weeks after that , 3/4 weeks you,ll probably need to clip the pups nails , starting the pups on food (3/4 weeks ) is a matter of choice , I,v always found a good brand of puppy food easywith little mess , I would expect 5 or 6 pups as an average sized litter of patterdale . asanley 1,009
Depends if they are inside or out , Heat lamp is a must outside , inside a decent box , maybe leave the heating on overnight on cold nights should be ok
